Fanny Laurin, Postpartum and ADHD Therapist

  • I work with people who feel off, even when life looks fine on paper. New moms who expected to feel happy but mostly feel anxious, guilty, or numb. Teens and young adults who seem okay to everyone else but are stuck in their heads, replaying conversations, worrying they said the wrong thing, or trying to keep everything under control. And couples who care about each other but keep getting caught in the same patterns, unsure how to find their way back.

Most of the people I work with don’t ask for help until they’ve hit a wall or feel overwhelmed. The new mom who googles every symptom, convinced she forgot something or did it wrong. The couple who’s tried every conversation but still feels miles apart. The teen who dodges every feeling until it finally spills over. Different stories, same pattern — trying to manage everything alone because needing support feels like failing.

  • I work mostly with postpartum, ADHD, and anxiety. Most people I see are used to sorting things out on their own. The mom who had everything planned and thought she’d be fine, now stuck googling every little thing, scared she’s already doing it wrong. The teen who tries to block out their feelings with more pain, because they don’t know what else to do with it, and sometimes it just gets to be too much.

You can tell something’s off, but it’s hard to say what. You keep doing what you know, hoping it’ll one day settle.

That’s where we start. We talk, figure things out, sometimes laugh, sometimes get uncomfortable. I ask questions, notice things, say them out loud. It’s honest, sometimes awkward, usually real. A bit of back and forth, a few lightbulb moments, sometimes swearing, sometimes silence.
